Sunnyside will be hosting a “Day of Diversity” on May 8^th. Please mark your calendars!

This is full day event that allows us to celebrate the many cultures that make Sunnyside such an unbelievable place. We are looking for some assistance in making this event one to remember. We would like to include traditional artwork, artifacts, flags, ect., that could be used to decorate the school. If you are willing to lend any items, we will make sure they are treated with care. When brought into the school they will be stored in a secure location with your son or daughters name and form written on the back.

 The event will also carry into the evening allowing parents/guardians to come and visit the exhibits as well as watch a fashion show. The evening part will run from 7-8:30pm. We are looking for students or parents who would be willing to participate in the fashion show wearing traditional clothing from your country. Also, we are looking to showcase food from around the world and are in need of a variety of bite size food samples.  If you are able to help out in any of these areas, we would greatly appreciate it! We would like any items to be brought in by April 30th and if you are willing to make food or walk in the fashion show, please let the school know as soon as possible.
