The Grade 8 students at Sunnyside Public School will be creating artwork with an impactful message once again. Established in 2005, the annual Teen and World Issues art exhibit features original artwork created by 150 students on topics such as social media pressures, climate change, bullying and battling addiction. Students choose the theme, the material, and the style of art to convey the issues most important to them, making this show a very powerful one.

Approximately 60 pieces will be on display at the Stanley Park Community Center, 505 Franklin St N, Kitchener, ON, from June 3 – 14, 2024 between 9am – 9pm (Mon-Fri) and 9am – 4pm on the weekends. The public is encouraged to join us on opening night (June 3) from 5pm – 7pm for a special viewing with the students and their families. The show has been virtual for the last four years, so students and organizers are happy to be back to an in-person format at the Community Center this year.
