Gr. 8 Trip to Eastwood – Gala and Orientation

On Friday, November 21^st, Sunnyside’s Gr. 8 classes have the exciting opportunity to travel to Eastwood Collegiate for the day.  All Gr. 8 classes will view ECI’s Gala presentation (a variety show presented by many very talented students) in the morning, followed by team building and spirit activities and the opportunity to visit some Gr. 9 classes in the afternoon.  Even if your son/daughter will not be attending Eastwood for Gr. 9, this is a great opportunity to get a taste of what high school will be like.  Students will walk to Eastwood with their homeroom classes immediately following attendance on Friday morning, and will return to school in time for dismissal/bussing on Fri. afternoon.  Students should take lunch and a snack with them.  Pizza and milk will be for sale at ECI in the afternoon break.

 

Gr. 7 Trip to Eastwood – Gala

On Friday, November 21^st, Sunnyside’s Gr. 7 classes have the exciting opportunity to travel to Eastwood Collegiate for the afternoon.  All Gr. 7 classes will view acts from ECI’s Gala presentation — a variety show presented by many very talented students – in the afternoon.  Gr. 7 students will have classes as usual in the morning, as well as their first Nutrition Break.  Tuck Shop will be open for them during first break.   Classes will walk to Eastwood with their period 3 teacher at approx.. 11:30, and will return to school in time for period 6 and a snack on Fri. afternoon.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get a first taste of life in high school.
