Welcome to a new school year at Sunnyside Senior Public School! We are looking forward to meeting all of you on Wednesday, September 6th

Class information will be available on SchoolDay over the weekend to find out your child’s class/teacher in advance. If you were in any WRDSB school last year, your SchoolDay accounts will be automatically linked to Sunnyside. Don’t worry if you can’t access that information. On Wednesday morning, all staff members will be outside (grade 7) or in the gym (grade 8) with class lists to help anyone find the right class.

GRADE 8s – Please go directly to the gym Wednesday morning. Class lists will be posted inside the gym and grade 8 homeroom teachers will be in there to meet you. Please find your name and find your teacher. They will have signs with their room numbers and orange vests and name tags to identify themselves. If you need any help please ask any of the staff.

GRADE 7s – Due to privacy laws we are not able to post names of students outside, but many staff members with bright orange vests will be outside with full class lists. Please ask any staff member to look up your name and let you know what class you are in. All homeroom teachers will be lined up on the back field just off the tarmac with signs displaying their class number and a nametag to identify themselves.

Once all students have arrived, teachers will lead their students to their class to start the day. We know that may take a while, but please be patient. We will make sure everyone gets to the right place!

Parents, please remain outside. If you need special help with anything just ask one of the staff members.

Keep an eye out for lots of important information coming home this week. Check SchoolDay regularly and look through backpacks for important forms. If you have any questions or need help using School Day- don’t hesitate to call or email us.
